KRGT Radio 92.1 FM was a FM Radio Station Broadcasting in the Central Texas area around Austin, Texas. It was owned by Tafoya Broadcasting Inc. which was owned and operated by Marcelo H. Tafoya. 

KRGT originally aired in HuttoTexas, as KRGT 92.1 FM Hutto-Austin. The call letters stood for "K-Round Rock-GeorgeTown" (Round Rock and Georgetown being nearby cities). Marcelo H. Tafoya was the owner and founder of KRGT Radio 92.1 FM in Hutto, Texas. The broadcasting station covered the Austin, Texas and Central Texas areas. Mr. Tafoya was the originator of the KRGT call letters due to their relationship to the towns and cities that the radio station primarily covered. It was his vision of bringing a fulltime Tejano FM radio station to the Austin area. 

He is considered one of the founding father's of the Tejano Music Genre and was the first person to win the Lifetime Achievement Award at the Tejano Music Awards in San Antonio, Texas.

His experience and expertise in broadcasting consisted of over 50+ years of broadcasting experience. He Began radio at KGTN in Georgetown, Texas. Soon after his start he picked up two more radio shows on KUT and KAZZ in Austin, Texas. This eventually led to him hosting a Television show on KTBC TV (owned by Lady Bird Johnson) entitled "Austin Presenta". Moreover, he eventually went on to own KLFB in Lubbock, Texas, KLTD and KCYL in Lampasas, Texas, and KGTN in Georgetown where he started his career. Over his lifetime he has owned five radio stations, two newspaper companies, two record labels, two record shops, an advertising agency, and many more businesses. He is also the founder of the Tejano Artist Music Museum, Inc.
